Remote User: CommentsI am so honored that I had the chance to see your website that you have obviously put much heart and soul into. I am an American Soldier and I stand proud to fight for the freedom that all of our past Veterns have already fought for us! I want to thank our brave soldiers past, present and future for what they have and will do for this country. Thank you to those who have fought before me for giving me the opprotunity to do the same for your families that you have left behind! I will protect them as you protect my parent, grandparent, and great grandparents. I will not let you down! Thank you! Sgt Debbie Seitz US Army debbie.seitz@us.army.mil
Remote User: CommentsI was deeply touched reading your story. Brother, a Marine, came home from Vietnam with two purple hearts. Hubby, a Marine, arrived home safe; we married, raised a daughter and have been blessed with over 30 years of marriage. Currently we await the imminent arrival of a grandson. Already, I fear for the day I will see him put on a uniform...for how can he not...we go back to the Rev. War. Ancestors in every conflict, including Iraq. May God walk beside them all... Lynn in CA

Remote User: CommentsWhat a wonderful website... My name is SSgt Daniel Rineer,USAF. I am stationed at NATO airbase Geilenkirchen Germany, about 20 minutes from Margraten WWII memorial and cemetery. I've read many of the guest book entries of people who have loved ones and family members buried there. I have many pictures of the cemetery available and would also be willing to go there and take personal pictures of both the wall and graves and deliver flowers to anyone's love ones who are there. I feel it is a privilege to serve my country so close to the resting place of these great Americans. If anyone is interested please feel free to email me at daniel.rineer@geilenkirchen.af.mil. I will be living here until December 2006... Thank you all for your families sacrifices!

Remote User: CommentsKenneth Green, Silverthorne, CO 80498 This website is a wonderful chronology of a dedicted career man, from one who planned well ahead! I was in the Navy Medical Corps and spent as much time with the 1St and 6th Marine Divisions while stationed in Tsingao, and Tientsin, China, as I served in the Navy. Becoming a China Marine was a high light of my Navy career.
Remote User: CommentsHi, Cool site. I was google searching and got a great hit on your Guest Book. On Jan 2005, a Louis Degginger posted and said he was commander of the 329th FA. Wow! My Dad was in 328FA and I'm researching all the units of the 85th Division. I emailed him. Just hope I can make contact. If you have any info on how to contact him, I would be grateful. CommentsThis website does the boys of Stokes County, North Carolina proud. It nearly breaks my heart to read all these names of these boys who gave their lives in defense of what they believed to be the right cause. Whether it be the Civil War, or the Vietnam War, these brave young men paid for there piece of happiness in Stokes County with their lives. I myself am a native son of North Carolina, however, not of Stokes County. I am also a veteran of the second war in Iraq, and it gives me great pride to look upon these names, and remember that these boys passed away in combat fighting for something so dear to them; liberty, and the liberty of others.

CommentsI am searching for information about the repatriation of American soldiers after WWII. There is a burial flag here with 38 gold stars and 10 white stars. The soldier did not come from your cemetery but he was part of the 1946-1951 recovery program. Would you know if any flags were put on caskets before they left Europe? I have looked everywhere for information about these flags but I have found nothing yet. I believe your website has more information about the repatriation than any I have seen. Sincerely, John E. McKinney Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Army

CommentsSomeone sent me this link. My grand parents were from Stoke County. I had a cousin die in WWI and two that died in WWII. None of my cousins were actually from Stokes. One was from Rockingham and the other two were from Forsyth. I hope someone will honor their memory the way that you have honored the memories of the young men from Stokes who gave their lives to their country. I have had hearing problems my whole life that have prevented me from serving (I tried several times when I was a young man to get into the Navy, but the MEPS people always kept me out). Keep up the good work. Your web site is a good place to stop and think for a moment. -Leonard Wheeler, Goldsboro NC

CommentsKen Priddy, This is great, thanks for thinking of the vets.
CommentsKen, What you have done is fantastic. As I read it, it was hard to keep a dry eye, especially when I saw the name of our cousin, Gilmer Wilson. He is the first person, other than my mother and daddy, that I remember. An earlier comment that I read - "They're not gone until they're forgotten," gives your work great patriotic significance. I am sure that this website will bring great pride, as well as great comfort to the many people who visit it. Thanks for what you are doing. Danny Ferguson
